| 3/25/06 Total Fitness Connection Run & Walk for Children. Each spring the Family Enrichment Center hosts the Total Fitness Connection Run & Walk for Children. This event features a Half-Marathon (13.1 miles) road race and a 5K run/walk. Participants receive T-shirts, a breakfast reception, on-site sports massage, and free childcare during the event. The Run & Walk for Children offers families an opportunity to raise money and awareness for the prevention of child abuse. This year, the race will be on March 25, 2006 at Basil Griffin Park in Bowling Green, KY. The breakfast and late registration will begin at 6:30 am followed by the race at 8am. Participants may register at www.FamilyEnrichmentCenter.com or by calling (270)781-6714 for a registration form. The 5K is $15 and $20 after March 15th. The Mini-Marathon is $20 and $25 after March 15th. The night before the race there will be a pasta party. Participants may pick up their T-shirts and goody bags at the party.
