The Rodes City Run 10K is the second "leg" of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running™. Runners, walkers and animal lovers of all ages are encouraged to participate. Strollers are welcome, too! Proceeds benefit the Louisville Zoo, which is dedicated to its mission of bettering the bond between people and our planet. Advance registration is $25 and day of event is $35. The first 1,500 people receive a commemorative T-shirt. The coveted Ostrich Egg award goes to the top male and female winner. Other age group awards, door prizes with post race refreshments.

For runners in the "Challenger" division this unique race has a one hour time limit and the challenge is to cross the finish line after eating a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts at the half way mark of the race. This year's 5K race will also feature a "Competitive" division where runners will forego the doughnuts and simply run a timed 5K race. All proceeds from the Krispy Kreme Challenge will benefit Lexington Habitat for Humanity.
