Thousands of runners and walkers team up to participate in this popular fun-filled event. In the true spirit of South Florida, the race begins and ends at the beach with an after party of 'arroz con pollo', refreshments, Latin music, dancing and children's activities. RUN, WALK & SPLASH IN SOUTH FLORIDA'S MOST COMPETITIVE OCEAN VIEW RACE! 10K RUN ' 5K RUN ' 5K WALK ' KIDDIE DASH 'FIESTA EN LA PLAYA! The 28th edition of the Carnaval Miami Run will attract a giant wave of athletes from all over South Florida. Age groups begin at 14 & under to 70+; overall Male and Female receive a hand crafted award and the first 1,000 participants to register get a tech t-shirt. Ample free parking is available inside the park. The Course: A 'down and back course' starts at Virginia Key Beach Park and turns left on the causeway turning around near the Key Biscayne Tennis Center. The Kiddie Dash takes place after the 5 and 10K. Children ages 0 to 10 take part in this community footrace and every child receives a WINNER medal. The Kiddie Dash is FREE and the distances are based on age group starting from 2 & under to 9 ' 10 years old. |
