Both courses will follow the 'Jewel of Sacramento," the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail/American River Parkway. The Marathon will begin at Negro Bar in Folsom and the ultra-marathon will begin at Beals Point in Granite Bay, following the scenic bike trail to Discovery Park at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers. This is the most ideal marathon or ultra-marathon course. No Traffic, No Cars, Beautiful Scenery and a relaxed Environment! Both courses are on the American River Parkway ' an area rich in diversity and wildlife which follows along the American River, which is part of the National Wild and Scenic River System.
