01/30/2010 Bear Creek Trail Half Marathon/10K/5K Winter Edition Half Marathon/10K/5K Briones Regional Park California Sam Fiandaca 510-750-5919 http://www.brazenracing.com sam@brazenracing.com Our summer edition, our most popular event of 2009, took place on August 29, during a much "toastier" time of year. We can almost guarantee you a much, much cooler race during the winter edition! Whether you are an experienced trail runner or a first-timer ready to get your feet dirty, you should thoroughly enjoy these races. Hikers/walkers are welcome! If you are looking for a super-fast, flat, easy course to set a personal record, you are probably in the wrong place. These courses have hills. If, however, you are looking for a great time on the trails, with beautiful scenery, awesome support and unique, high-quality shirts and awards, you have come to the right place!

If you are looking for hills, you'll have to look at the mountains across the bay, because they just aren't here. This is surely the flattest and fastest of any run we offer. All races begin at the San Leandro Marina Park, continue into the Hayward Regional Shoreline Park and hug the shoreline for an out and back run that rarely strays more than a few feet from the water. These fast courses and fantastic views offer the opportunity for a personal record in any distance you choose. This race is also very weather friendly: the trails are all either paved or gravel trails with little potential for mud (in case of any rain before or during the race). Hikers/walkers are always welcome! All runners will receive custom finisher medals and custom shirts (cotton and tech shirts available). More info on shirts/awards page. Age group awards will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in 5 year categories (less for the younger ages).
