Jan. 9, 2010 9:50am START: Kenneth Vercammen Law Office 2053 Woodbridge Ave., Edison, NJ 08817. Tired of the same old neighborhood roads, traffic, bad drivers? Join the off-road runners for a great and unusual training run. See the swamps and wooded areas saved from development. The Rumson Hash House Harriers again return to the woods and marsh of Edison. Hashing is not a race but a non-competitive group run which follows an off-road course laid out with baking flour. Cherry Hill High School East New Jersey Wayne Bledy 856-424-2131 www.dsdawgs.org dsdawgs@gmailcom Cherry Hill High School East Parking Lot - measured USATF Certified Course on a mostly flat paved road D’s Dawgs was created in memory of Danielle E. Bledy to support the beliefs and activities she was passionate about. Danielle believed in being true to herself, her family, and friends. She loved animals, especially dogs, and hoped to become a veterinarian. That is why we support the no-kill animal shelter, Animal Orphanage in Voorhees, and why we are offering scholarships to students pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Danielle loved to play basketball and attended Cherry Hill Township’s basketball camp as well as Great Times Day Camp. She loved these activities and we provide scholarships to deserving children with financial need. Great Times Day Camp generously provides a yearly two-week scholarship to camp which we match for another child. The Memorial Serenity Garden at Beck Middle School was created throug h the donations of family, friends, and the community. We will replace items in the garden as needed. Danielle was a budding artist and photographer. She drew the charity’s mascot herself after her dog Jake. We hope to provide scholarships to students interested in photography. We are holding the run to raise money to fund the above mentioned causes as well as to fund research into Brain Aneurysms. An aneurysm caused Danielle’s untimely death, and we hope to find ways to detect aneurysms early to provide more positive outcomes for children and to spare families the grief and heartache we have experienced. We are contributing to the Brain Aneurysm Research Foundation. We will contribute to a researcher who will be testing for brain anomalies in uterus. There will be information about registration in the coming weeks.
