The runs are a featured event of the annual Ice Box Days Festival with fun events like Pasta Party, Beach Party, Smoosh Races & Frozen Turkey Bowling to name a few. 02/06/2010 Fifth Annual Snowshoe Shuffle Distance: 5k/10k race/walk Location : Ramsey County Long Lake Regional Park  Phone : 612-781-4000/612-787-4063 Fax : Website : www.esns.org Email : JAnderson@esns.org Additional Info : The Fifth Annual Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle, hosted by East Side Neighborhood Services. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. with the race beginning at 10 a.m. Prizes, awards and silent auction will follow the race. Entry fee is $35 and includes a long sleeve knit shirt and a post-race warm-up chili lunch. Snowshoes are available for a $5 rental fee and a free kidпїЅs fun run and activities for children will also take place. A pre-race spaghetti dinner will be held Friday, February 5 from 5-8 p.m. at East Side Neighborhood Services. Dinner is $5 and includes early check-in for race, confirmation of shoe rental and an opportunity to meet other racers. Register online at www.esns.org. The race will feature 5k and 10k heats and is registered as a Midwest Championship Snowshoe Series regional qualifying event for those competitors who register in the national standings for the National United States Snowshoe Association. The Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle has grown to rank third in the country for the number of race entrants and attracts competitors from several states in the Midwest and states as far as North Carolina and Washington. In addition to seasoned racers, the Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle participants include recreational snowshoers, Nordic skiers, road runners, trail runners and families. Men, women and children of all ages are encouraged to participate in the event. Proceeds from the event benefit Camp Bovey, a summer youth program of East Side Neighborhood Services.
