Parts of course are on the Great Western Trail and through US Forest Service Land - 51% trails, 43% dirt roads, 6% paved road. Over 17,000 ft elev. gain/loss. 12,000 of which you do by mile 28.5. Altitude varies from 4900 ft to 10,000 ft. 9 well stocked Aid Stations and another 3 Water stations. Drops bags and pacers OK. Great Pre and post Race dinners.
