It is a preview to the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon, as many runners and their families use it as a warm-up for the big event the next day. This has been a race where several local celebrities have participated in past years. The point to point race begins on Watson Island at the Miami Children’s Museum and then heads onto the MacArthur Causeway with a grand finish celebration at Nikki Beach. Sponsors and vendors receive long exposure time at the post race ceremony because of the setting. Medals are given to all finishers of this event. |

The event is free and open to the public. 60% of the participants are from the South Florida area. |

The course follows along a newly built bike bath from the beach up Sombrero Beach Road and then left onto Sombrero Country Club. From there the course meanders between the Country Club and Boot Key Harbor. At the 5K marker, the course turns around and retraces to the start. Sombrero Beach has parking, restrooms, grills, pavillions, etc. Awards, Raffles, Refreshments, Food, Music, etc. are presented after the race. |

Race has excellent engagement and activation opportunities at the start and finish parties. PR Racing created this event 2 years ago and it almost instantly became a smash hit in the running community. Romero Britto has been the race’s official artist for the past two year, designing the t-shirt and race poster. Many have said the inaugural year for this race was the largest debut in history for a 5K race in the Miami area. |

Runners get a chance to experience vibrant and picturesque Coconut Grove when the sun is going down. The start and finish are in front of Miami’s City Hall making this event center stage for our community’s leaders. PR Racing took over management of this race a few years ago and now has race participation at nearly double what it was before. Nice and neat post race area adjacent to the rotunda. Crowd tends to stick around because beer is served during the post race celebration and awards ceremony. This is PR Racing’s only weekday event. The race raises funds to provide scholarships to accounting students. |

PR Racing took this race over a few years ago and now has race participation at nearly double what it was before. Very crowded and high energy post race area adjacent to the rotunda, very festive and long lasting entertainment keep this crowd present for a good portion of the morning. Many sponsors and vendors make this race a good perception value for participants. The race benefits the ALS Recovery Fund. Walkers, first timers and veterans are attracted to this race because of the fact that it offers two race distances (5K and 10K). The post race area crowd swelled to well over 2000 in 2008. |

Youth Opera is an exciting way for hundreds of young people ages 8 to 18 to experience the joy of opera through training and performance opportunities and as audience members. The Race Divas & Dudes 5K will take place in beautiful Payne Park in Sarasota on Adams Lane near US 301. The race route consists of two loops around the perimeter of the park on grass and a final loop around the inner park fine gravel track. Awards will be given to the top three female and male runners in each category and special prizes to one overall top female and male. Event Highlights Diva & Dudes 5K welcomes non-runners to participate in a 1 mile walk and invites children to enjoy post-run and walk arts and crafts and face-painting for a full morning of family fun! All runners will receive a goodie bag, t-shirt, and post run snacks. Additional shirts will be available for purchase. Fees $20 race entry fee through April 22, 2010 $25 race entry fee on day of race, April 24, 2010 $10 donation for walkers Registration provided by: Active.com |
