But thats cool. Because all you really need to know about CMY5K is that its five kilometers of vibrant ridiculousness that will make your face hurt from perma-smile. Who knew that getting pelted with a different colored powder every kilometer could be so therapeutic? But it is. CMY5K is a game changer. Now you can participate in a running event where the most competitive aspect is comparing t-shirts post race to see who got the most color. So round up some friends. Don your plain white tees. And get ready to be baptized in chromatic craziness. If youve done a traditional 5K, you know they can be a bit bland. But CMY5K is the running equivalent of Dorothys house landing on the Wicked Witch. Waves of virginal white runners and walkers will start every 3-5 minutes. Then, at each kilometer, CMY5K staff and volunteers will powder participants in Color Splash Zones. Each zone dispenses a different color; 1K-cyan, 2K-magenta, 3K-yellow, 4K-green, 5K-a combination of all colors.
