As a zero overhead organization, 100% of net proceeds go towards the education related projects for underprivileged children across India.

We highly encourage families to participate, especially because Melanoma is very often a young person's cancer. Non-running adults, teens, children, parents with strollers, and (child friendly) dogs on leashes are all welcome to participate in the walking group. There will also be a short children's "run" right before the start of the official race. This year's race proceeds will be donated to the Skin Cancer Foundation (www.skincancer.org) in the fund's name to further Melanoma research and education.

Lots of hills, some very long & steep; run through old-growth forest & pine plantations, by creeks & ponds, through meadows, by historic Chestnut log cabin, and more. For the 10K & 5K, choose timed run or walk. 10K is quite challenging, 5K still has a good hill. 1 mile walk is easy & led by a naturalist. All are exclusively or predominantly off road. Ends with great food, music, & fun at the finish line.
