Challenge the Sierras in this ride of the Tahoe/Reno area and be rewarded with breath-taking vistas and rigorous climbs. This fully supported ride starting at Bartley Ranch in Reno, NV, includes 100 mile Century, 100k Century, 5k and 10K routes that range from family friendly to demanding. Following the ride, reward yourself with a Sierra Celebration featuring great food and libations and a memorable time. You can also get a free bottle of wine when you register and tell your friends why you ride. You can help to defeat ALS!! Although there are no minimum fundraising requirements to participate in the ride, we hope you will join our efforts to find a cure for ALS and to help people living with the challenges of the disease. The race location is Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City, Nevada. The races will start at 7 am. The 34m racers will do two loops of the canyon race route. The 25K runners will only complete one loop. Additional Information ItпїЅs called the World Of Hurt for a reasonпїЅ this race course is tough! It was designed by three crazy ultra athletes to challenge even the most seasoned runner. It is hilly, hot, rocky, sandy, steep, narrow, and single track trail. There is an 8 hour cut off time (34m runners will need to have started their second loop by the 4 hour point). There will be basic aid and water stations every 4.5 to 5.1 miles. All races will be required to start the race with at least 20 oz of water or fluid in a bottle or container. Race limit is 150 runners for both races. This is an USATF sanctioned event. Fees: Ultra $85 before 9/20, then $100. 25k $45 before 9/20, then $60. | |
