CASA (court appointed special advocates) trains and supports volunteers in the 1st Judicial District to advocate for the best interests of children involved in abuse and neglect trials. The purpose of the event is both to support the cost of our intensive training and to raise awareness of the children who continue to wait in the foster care system for safe, permanent homes. Registration for the Run/Walk is $15 for adults, $7 for kids, and $3 for dogs  who are welcome to join the walk. Participants are encouraged to gather pledges as well, especially because $20 in pledges waives one registration fee. T-shirts are FREE for all participants and prizes include gym memberships, gift certificates to local restaurants, and much more.

6/28/08 Mountain To Meadow Lolo Pass Half Marathon and 5k Fun Run This Beautiful Scenic Run Will Begin at the LOLO Pass Visitor Center (Elevation 5225) on the Idaho Montana Border.  The 14 Mile Loop Will Wind through forests of Engelmann Apruce and White Pine, with dramatic views of the BITTERROOT Mountains in the distance. both the 5k run (OUT AND BACK) and the 14 MILE LOOP will pass PACKER MEADOWS, A Historically significant site along the NEZ PERCE AND LEWIS AND CLARK TRAILS. Runners and walkers are welcome at this event and the entire course is situated on dirt or gravel back roads.  Start time is 7:30 A.M. Pacific standard time. Registration cost is $30.00 With T SHIRT $20.00 Without T SHIRT our mountain to meadow website will be online by January 20th.
