Beautiful and unique jewelry, clothing, and accessories, hand-crafted by over 40 regional artists, will be for sale. In addition, the artists have donated favorite pieces for a silent auction. The event is organized and sponsored by the Cedarburg Junior Woman’s Club to benefit the fight against breast cancer in Southeastern Wisconsin. Proceeds help fund programs that support breast cancer awareness, screening, prevention, and education. A suggested donation of $5.00 is requested for admission. The Cedarburg Junior Woman’s Club is also introducing a Bosom Buddy Walk (1, 2, or 3 miles) sponsored by KAPCO, Inc. that will take place 9:00 a.m. the morning of the art show and will start in Cedar Creek Park. Walkers of all ages are encouraged to join this noncompetitive event and help to make a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer. The cost for the Walk is $15 with preregistration, or $20 the day of the event, and includes admission to the Wearable Art Show which immediately follows. Each team raises money through donations to help fight breast cancer. There is no registration fee for participating, just the promise to ask your friends and family for their support. If you are looking for a shitty race and a great post race party...La Crosse's very own Shithouse 5k is the race for you. Although this race is dubbed the "Shittiest Race in the World," there will be a few dozen cross country runners from UW-La Crosse and neighboring WIAC schools. In the past times have ranged everywhere from 15 flat to 35 minutes, so everyone will have someone to run with. The flame may put off a horrible smell, but the competition is anything but shitty...
