The goal is for each child to complete at least 25.2 miles before race day. Then on race day, children who are properly registered and have reached their mileage goal will complete their final mile on the official Little Rock Marathon course in front of family, friends and thousands of spectators. The Final Mile is a one-mile, un-timed, non-competitive fun run. |

Hope is a non-profit organization that provides counseling, medical assistance, and financial support to cancer patients throughout NWA. The event is also a memorial for a young lady who died of colon cancer at the age of 28. Her memory lives each year through her friends and family as they plan and coordinate the event. A portion of the proceeds go directly toward colon cancer research. |

The walk focuses on people of all ages, joining together to help raise money for the prevention, control, and cure of arthritis and related diseases. The event is a non-competitive 5K walk (3.1 mile) or 1 mile walk benefiting the 626,000 Arkansans with arthritis. How Do I get Involved? There are many ways to get involved in the next Arthritis Walk. The best way is to invite others to walk with you. Anyone can participate. Recruit co-workers, friends, family, neighbors, whomever, and get them to join in the fun. All participants who raise $100 or more will earn an official Arthritis Walk t-shirt. |

"Run for Sophia". This is a fundraiser for the medical bills of 10 year old Sophia Tilly. She has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which is a bone cancer in her knee. she is undergoing chemo and will have surgery in May. There will be 3 races with walking, running and biking classes. a 1 mile kids race, a 3 mile intermediate race and a 6.5 mile feature race. Entry fees are $15.00. Donations will be accepted. All funds received will go to the Tilly family to aid in paying medical bills. The race will begin and end at Avilla Baptist Church, located 15 miles out Congo/Ferndale Rd from Benton AR. Created for those who think a little differently about this runnin' stuff. The Mud Run is definitely NOT your average 5K. The Alltel Wireless Mud Run is for the adventuresome spirit and is a family friendly race. Participants run, walk, skip, trot and even cavort through our 5K(ish - please refer to helpful hints section of the website for the clarification of "ish") course, which winds through a scenic Little Rock Park. Participants must overcome an "obstacle" or two along the way. (2005, it was a tire obstacle.) Then finish with a spectacular frolic (but in most cases romp) through our world-renowned 300-foot mud pit, which is filled with that amazing Arkansas mud. The point is not to finish fast but to finish with style. |
