It's a vertical race up 888 stairs to the 40th floor of Metropolitan Tower in downtown Little Rock, benefiting Arkansas Respiratory Health Association. Climbers of this unique fitness challenge experience the only finish line reaching upward to 540 ft in the air in Arkansas' tallest building. Individual and team climbers receive exciting incentives for fundraising. Awards for top finishers and by age categories. Event medals for all who complete the climb. The goal is for each child to complete at least 25.2 miles before race day. Then on race day, children who are properly registered and have reached their mileage goal will complete their final mile on the official Little Rock Marathon course in front of family, friends and thousands of spectators. The Final Mile is a one-mile, un-timed, non-competitive fun run.
