White RIver will be the only 50 mile championship on trails to be contested for 2007. Start time: 6:30 a.m. Entry fee: $70 before June 30th, $80 thereafter. No day of race entry. Race numbers will be limited to 400 endurance athletes from around the country and Canada. Over $7,500 in prize money will be offered, going five deep in each category. Set in the idyllic shadow of Mt. Rainier, this race offers spectacular views, rolling terrain, ridge tops, northwest forest, several sections of technical trails, and of course...demanding climbs and challenging descents. Race begins at Buck Creek Campground with 3 miles of rolling, single-track trail, followed by a long climb near the Pacific Crest Trail. After 6 miles out and back, a technical single-track descent brings you back to Buck Creek Campground. The race continues with a single-track climb to the summit of Suntop, offering spectacular views of Mt. Rainier. After descending 6 miles on dirt road, the course follows the Skookum Flats Trail along the south side of the White River. This final portion is a 6 mile, upriver grade, on technical single-track. Runners and walkers are welcome to participate in this event organized for law students, faculty, staff, UW supporters, young lawyers, seasoned lawyers and judges alike. The Race Judicata 5K was started in 2006 to raise money to support students doing public interest legal work. Your participation is a crucial part of our success. We hope you can join us! The race course is certified by USA Track & Field and the event will be electronically chip-timed with results posted online. The first 150 participants will receive a Jerzees moisture-management shirt. Remaining participants will receive a cotton t-shirt.

The event, designed for teams of two or four, is open to anyone ages 16 to 116, who would enjoy racing across a field, scurrying over obstacles, and competing against other teams and the meteorological vagaries of a November Day in Seattle, then celebrating the accomplishment with a Hawaiian luau.
