Course and Race Description: This is a great seasonal race, and the course is flat. Aid stations will have water available. The Start/Finish is just north of the Westmark Credit Union (567 Rigby Lake Drive). The race will begin with all runners heading north (along the bike path) to the entrance of Rigby Lake. Those participating in the 2 mile run will turn around before entering the recreation area and return to the finish. Runners participating in 7K race will head into the recreation and turn right (east) onto the running trail that circles the lake. After running around the lake runners, will loop back and follow the road around the lake. Finally, runners will head out of the recreation area and follow Graham Road to the finish. Awards will be presented to the first place male and female 7K finishers in the Juniors (under 20), Open, and Masters (50 and over) age groups. A short awards ceremony will take place at 10:30. Hot Chocolate will be available for participants. Participants may pick up their registration packets/bags between 8 and 8:45 am on race day. Course and Race Description: This is a great early season race, and the course is flat and fast. Aid stations will have water available. The Start/Finish is at the northeast corner of Community Park (at the east end of the parking lot.) The race will head east on 25th turning right, or south, on Londonberry. Runners will exit Londonberry and turn right, or west, on Sunnyside road. The course will follow Sunnyside to Holmes Avenue and turn right, or north, back towards the park. Once at the northwest corner of the park runners will complete the running path back to the start finish line. Those competing in the 10K run will loop the course twice. Those participating in the 2 mile run will turn around at the 1 Mile marker and return to the finish. Runners participating in 5K and 10K races continue around the circumference of the park, with the 10K runners making 2 loops, and return to the start/finish area. Awards will be presented to the first place male and female 5K and 10K finishers in the Juniors (under 20), Open, and Masters (50 and over) age groups where there is a minimum of three competitors running the race. A short awards ceremony will take place at 10:30. Participants may pick up their registration packets/bags between 8 and 8:45 am on race day. A most poetic run. That’s the way one runner describes his experience running the Idaho Falls Greenbelt. Runners will enjoy this scenic route and perhaps finish in a personal best time on this flat and fast course. If you want to run  a race that encourages, and inspires the very reasons you run, jog, or walk then the PERSONAL BEST Fitness Run is for you. Come and join the increasing number of health conscience people who enjoy the "natural" high of running and find the natural beauty of the Greenbelt captivating. There are more than 7 miles of trail that wind around the Greenbelt and into Freeman Park. Along the trail and paths one can see a mixture of waterfowl, mammals, foliage, and flowers. Although parts of the trail pass close to some of Idaho Falls most notable landmarks, one can easily overlook these architectural wonders and simply enjoy the natural beauty of the Snake River and all its inhabitants. Across the floating bridge and over the wooden bridge the runner will enter Freeman Park. Here they can see more of the area's natural beauty or they just might see college students on their way to class, a competitive game of disc golf, or visitors at the park's Vietnam Memorial. For the competitive runner this race offers ideal conditions and a most pleasant environment. For the casual runner, jogger, or walker this race offers all that and more. Afterwards they are treated to food and entertainment at the Finish Line Party to Celebrate! St. Luke's Celebration Women's Show September 20 & 21, 2007 - 10am - 8pm Boise Centre on the Grove Thursday and Friday prior to the 5K, St. Luke's Celebration Women's Show is open to learn about, with opportunities to sample, new products to buy from over 160 vendors. Participants pick up their race packets for the 5K here but everyone is welcome from their families and the community to visit the most comprehensive show for women in Idaho.
