We are distributing information on our bike tour in Monroe County, AL on Oct. 4, 2008. The registration fee is $50 on or before Sept. 15. After Sept. 15, the registration fee is $55. This fee includes a t-shirt, goody bag and a post-race BBQ meal. Please feel free to distribute or post on a website calendar as you see fit. This ride gives several options to riders, while challenging them and giving riders the opportunity to view Monroe County's beauty and historic landmarks. Bike tour of Monroe County in 25 mile, 62 mile, and 100 mile distances. You choose the distance that best challenges your abilities. The ride will give participants the opportunity to visit the home town of Harper Lee author of "To Kill a Mocking Bird" and visit other historic sites. The bike ride is sponsored by Monroeville Area YMCA and the Monroeville Kiwanis Club. Afterwards stay and enjoy the BBQ dinner held at the Old Courthouse Museum.
