All over the world, local communities come together for the purpose of promoting awareness about the sexual, physical, and emotional violence people endure everyday. Each and every one of us is encouraged to take a stand and speak out against this violence so people everywhere will feel safe and free. For the past two years, over 300 people participated in this important event. Join us as we Take Back the Night. Race Date and Time: The certified 5K walk and run will begin on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 6PM. Official bar code timing provided by John Lehman. Location: Race will begin at Clemson University's Redfern Health Center (across from the Hendrix Student Center). The race will continue through Clemson's scenic campus, finishing at the amphitheater. The race attracts thousands of people from all over the Southeast and beyond. The Ultimate Challenge Mud Run is over 4.2 miles, and has 30 obstacles that have to be crossed by each team requiring team work and a lot of determination. The 4.2 mile course is an all-terrain race conducted on dirt roads, improved and unimproved trails through the training area. These trails include mud holes, walls, trenches and other obstacles that require swimming, crawling, climbing and jumping. Some people come to compete, but many come just to complete |
