My Weight Loss With Atkins Hello, at the first of the year ( jan1,2005), I decided that I was tired of being overweight. I had never had a problem with weight in my life until after the birth of my 2 children. I had always been a little to skinny! Well I gained 62 pounds with my first pregnancy in 2001, after the birth of my daughter I became a stay at home mom. I found a gym that offered child care while I worked out and I had lost 17 pounds when I found myself pregnant again. It was exactly one year after giving birth the first time. So needless to say that I put on a few more pounds and after the birth of my second child in 2003, it was hard for me to get out of the house with 2 small children under the age of 2. So I sat in the house just about all day and ate all kinds of junk food and drank soda's. So by the first of this year I was 215 lbs. I am 23 years old and just couldn't imagine living my life at this weight. I was miserable, I didn't enjoy playing with my children outside cause I couldn't run, I was so overweight. So at the first of the year I decided to do something about it and I started the Atkins diet on Jan. 1, 2005 and exercising at least 5-6 days a week and I have now lost 31 lbs!! I just cant believe what Atkins and exercise has done for me in only 2 and 1/2 months. I still a ways away from my goal but I feel great and can't wait to lose the rest of the weight. I just thought I could inspire someone else who is in my situation. I follow the Atkins diet everyday, drink plenty of water, portion control and do an at home walking video and I have lost 31 lbs in 2 months!!! I went from 215 to 184! I will write again when I lose the rest of the weight!!!
