The tallest sporting challenge in the Middle East is being held at Emirates Towers in aid of M?decins Sans Fronti?res (MSF). Competitors will race up Emirates Towers office building, the tallest building in Europe and the Middle East and Dubai landmark, climbing 50 flights of stairs, 1,306 steps and 241 metres on their way to the finish line. This will be the 2nd Vertical Marathon held at Emirates Towers; last year’s winner climbed the stairs in just 8 minutes and 17 seconds. This year there will be two categories, one for competitors who want to make the fastest time and the other for those who want to take their time and prove to themselves they can make it to the top. Both individuals and teams are very welcome to take part; teams must have a minimum of three people. MSF are asking people to collect an amount of 500 AED (suggested amount) in pledges to take part.
