A most poetic run. That’s the way one runner describes his experience running the Idaho Falls Greenbelt. Runners will enjoy this scenic route and perhaps finish in a personal best time on this flat and fast course. If you want to run a race that encourages, and inspires the very reasons you run, jog, or walk then the PERSONAL BEST Fitness Run is for you. Come and join the increasing number of health conscience people who enjoy the "natural" high of running and find the natural beauty of the Greenbelt captivating. There are more than 7 miles of trail that wind around the Greenbelt and into Freeman Park. Along the trail and paths one can see a mixture of waterfowl, mammals, foliage, and flowers. Although parts of the trail pass close to some of Idaho Falls most notable landmarks, one can easily overlook these architectural wonders and simply enjoy the natural beauty of the Snake River and all its inhabitants. Across the floating bridge and over the wooden bridge the runner will enter Freeman Park. Here they can see more of the area's natural beauty or they just might see college students on their way to class, a competitive game of disc golf, or visitors at the park's Vietnam Memorial. For the competitive runner this race offers ideal conditions and a most pleasant environment. For the casual runner, jogger, or walker this race offers all that and more. We hope to see you there! |
