I have several toys in my garage and so I thought I would put one up
here and see if anyone wants it.
It’s a 1975 Honda CB400F Super Sport, red, about 23,000 miles, and is in
pretty damn good shape for a 1975 (Not museum quality - but very well
kept).
I am the second owner of this bike. I purchased it from the original
owner’s son, but they never switched the title from the father to the
son.
I have the original owner’s manual and Honda shop service manual (three
ring binder) with every part/service EVER done to it recorded.
This is beautiful – it gets look everywhere you go. Last year I had 4
people make offers on it but did not want to sell. The highest “I will
buy it now for cash offer” I got last year was $2,500. And I have seen
these things go for $500 - $5,000 on EBay, so I figure I will ask for
$2,500 or best offer. Even though it’s probably worth more. I just need
to free up some more garage space and I am looking to purchase something
special for my lady (shhh).
This bike runs at about 95% now - I have started it and rode it twice
this summer so far (as I have other bikes to ride). I had fuel
stabilizer in the tank this winter and stored in a heated garage.
The only bad I can think about with this bike are that the carbs need to
be cleaned/adjusted soon and it will need new tires after this season or
sooner. Also the electric start does not work and hasn’t worked for 10+
years. I was told by Don down at Don’s Honda in Iowa City that’s its
just a spring or something that would cost less than $40 to fix but the
kick start works just fine and I just never got around to it.
Other than that she is a beautiful bike, good shape for a 1975, and the
chrome is still shiny (when cleaned).
I would also consider trades of any kind so please feel free to ask
(car, truck, jet ski, moto, TV, you name it I will consider it).
