The 10K run and 5K run/walk will begin at 6:30PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church located on 50th Avenue NW, in Rochester, MN. A post race awards ceremony will include door prizes and a reception. Registration forms will available on our website, the RTC website and various locations throughout the area. Packet pickup and registration will be held the evening before at the Rochester Athletic Club. Cost is $16 in advance; $20 the week of the race; $25 same-day registration. Participants will again receive a long-sleeved t-shirt and various samples of sunscreen. For additional information please view our new website www.outofthesunrun.org which will be frequently updated with event information. Last year, we hosted an inspirational evening with 530 participants of all age groups; some of which are survivors. We were very proud to be able to present “The Mayo Clinic Cancer Center” with a check of over $31,000 to help fund melanoma research. Most importantly, efforts continue to raise awareness to within the community about the seriousness of melanoma and the importance of sun protection. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Arboretum, a non-profit organization. In the winter, the same course is used by the X-C skiers.
