1966 Lincoln Continental- 89,841 miles
I purchased this car about 25 years ago. My plan was to restore it, but
I never had the time and still don’t have the time.
This one has the 460 cubic inch engine it starts and run very smooth and
quiet. It is loaded with power options. The car is black; it has black
leather seats. I bought this car from a friend. I drove the car
occasionally in the summers until I purchased a 73 Cadillac convertible,
then I parked the 66. I started and moved it occasionally over the
years. The car always ran great. It has been stored in my shed. The car
has rusted through on the bottom edge of the rear quarter panels behind
the wheels. There is quite a bit of surface rust also. See Photos. The
body looks very strait. I am starting it on a separate small fuel tank
with fresh gas. I polished the points and it started right up and
sounded just as good as it did when I parked it. This car has almost all
of it original parts. The interior was nice when I parked it. It is very
dirty now. The head liner is damaged now and the inside edge of a back
seat needs repair. It needs a driver side window glass, body work, a go
od cleaning and polishing and minor mechanic work. I am making room for
my boat and a new car. I have not driven the car on the street since I
pulled it out. The tires are very weather cracked and the brakes need to
be checked out. The car is currently not drivable and I don’t have the
time to make it drivable. It should restore nicely.
I have the clear title.
