Coaches vs. Cancer 5K Run/Walk
9th Annual CVC Race
Saturday, April 12th, 2008--10am
IM Building--Penn State University

What is Coaches vs. Cancer?

Coaches vs. Cancer is a partnership between the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, and the American Cancer Society. Coaches vs. Cancer is dedicated to reducing the risk of cancer in youths, using fan contributions to assist for cancer research, public and professional education, delivery of services to cancer patients and their families and promotion of public and patient advocacy. Coaches vs. Cancer has the opportunity to really influence and make an impact in the fight against cancer. Through Coaches vs. Cancer, NABC coaches work to offer Hope, Progress and Answers to overcome this deadly disease. At Penn State, Coquese Washington and Ed Dechellis bring the same dedication that they bring to the court, to make Coaches vs. Cancer into a winning organization. The Coaches vs. Cancer committee is a group of students who volunteer their time and efforts to work with Coach DeChellis and Coach Coquese Washington to raise money to fight cancer. The committee is dedicated at making a difference in the world: One life at a time.
