Event will start at 10am and end at 2pm
Food and Beverages will be provided
The First Annual Cause for Paws Dog Walk is being
held on April 20th, 2008 (rain or shine!) to raise funds and
awareness for spaying/neutering of animals in the Harrisonburg
community.
1.5 Mile Walk
Additional activities include:
- Peanut Butter Eating Contest (Dogs Only!)
- Pet & Owner Look-a-Like Contest
- Pet & Owner Portraits
- Best Dog Trick
- Best Dressed Dogs
- Raffle
- A performance by the Overtones, JMU's finest co-ed
a'cappella group
Forms can be dropped off at the
Rockingham/Harrisonburg SPCA
We will be holding a dog and cat toy drive and will
be collecting all donations on the day of the event. In addition to
the knowledge that your gift will be enjoyed by the animals at the
SPCA, you will also be given one free raffle ticket for every item
you donate with no limit! Basically, go nuts, and donate a hundred
items.
In addition to pet toys, we will be accepting
anything from the full wish list of the SPCA:

WALK GUIDELINES:
1.) All animals must have current vaccinations,
including rabies vaccine, and be spayed or neutered.
2.) All dogs must be leashed and under control at all
times.
3.) Do not bring female animals in heat.
4.) Feline friends and puppies under six months of
age are better left at home.
5.) Don't risk injury to other walkers, leave
aggressive or unpredictable dogs at home.
6.) You'll need to clean up after your pal (clean up
bags will be provided).
7.) All registrants must sign the waiver statement
before participating in the event.
8.) We will be checking all animal tags to make sure
they are vaccinated for rabies. If your pet doesn't have up to date
tags, unfortunately, they will not be allowed to take part in the
event.

The fees for our event are as follows: Walk (Before 4/11/08 at 2pm): $20 per person (w/ t-shirt), $10 without shirt Walk (After 4/11/08 at 2pm)): $20 per person Group (Before 4/11/08 at 2pm): $15 per person (w/shirt), $5 without shirt (5 members required for group discount) Group (After 4/11/08 at 2pm): $15 per person |
