Additional information : Old Town Auctions inaugural Frederick sale is scheduled for June 17th, 2006 at the Great Frederick Fairgrounds located at 797 East Patrick Street Frederick, MD 21701. Approximately 500 lots from several states are currently in place for this sale, with more coming in daily. The June 17th sale will feature items from the Coca Cola and advertising collection of the Carver Family, owners of the Northern Neck Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Montross Va. for 80 years. Also featured is a very interesting collection of rare Coke and other soda stadium carriers from a Frederick County collection. From another local collection come salesman's sample and miniature stoves and more. We will also feature antique and collectible toys like; a boxed Amos n' Andy Fresh Air Taxi, Nifty Barney Google on Sparkplug, Fun-e-Flex wood Disney figures along with other 30's Disney items, several Japanese tin cars, boxed Buddy L dump & other Buddy-L, an early Structo and other Pressed Steel toys, tin Chein and Marx windup toys, several dolls, celluloid toys including Henry on the Elephant, two large Ives train stations, several toy gas stations, Noah's Ark toys and lots more. We will have an amazing 1930s Buck Rogers styled carnival ride rocket ship. To round things out we have Folk Art pieces including a hand carved Oregon Battleship circa 1915 and hand made farm items. From several collections around the Country we have advertising and Country store items. These include two spool cabinets, several display cases, original 1896 Wheeling Pottery Coca-Cola syrup dispenser, 1902 oak Zeno gum machine, C. D. Kenny tole paint tea bin, nice early Putnam Dye cabinet, circa 1905 self framed tin Trommer's Evergreen Beer sign, several tin and porcelain thermometers. At this sale you will find Art Pottery from Van Briggle, Roseville and others. Also included are Civil war items like original discharge papers, an 1864 Ames musicians sword and several cannon balls along with antique tools from an Ohio collection. Just in, an attic fresh diecast vehicle collection featuring Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox and Hotwheels redlines. Also from the same attic came a collection of toy trains and accessories, and 20 plus un-built model kits. Other items included in the sale are porcelain, tin, cardboard and paper advertising signs for shoes, soda, Hires, Moxie, Pepsi, automotive, beer and others.
