1975 Carter 36 Racer/Cruiser
Wizard is hull #1 of approximately twenty. Designed by the Dick Carter Design Group, which included yacht designer Robert Perry, at Nahant Massachusetts and built by Composite Technologies of North Harbor Texas. The boat is often referred to as the "Texas One Ton". To the best of my knowledge, Wizard first raced in Lake Michigan and Lake St. Claire. I purchased Wizard in 1994 and sailed on Lake Superior. Then I moved her to Seattle in 1998. Wizard is currently on a buoy in Dyes Inlet, Silverdale WA.

The interior has a sail locker forward, then a head with sink and hanging locker to starboard, toilet to port. The main cabin has a large teak drop leaf table that folds up onto the keel stepped mast. Settees and pilot berths on each side. This is followed on the port with the sink and a large ice box, then the stoves. To starboard there is a full sized Nax station. Aft is the engine and a large storage area.
Recent major maintenance, The keel was removed and reset, reconditioned
heat exchangers, new salt water pump, new motor mounts,
The motor has been well maintained.
